Giggle Out Loud, formerly called MadhaPPy, is a band from Pensacola, FL that takes poetry dealing with complex subject matter and layers it over playful, child-like tonality while still carrying with it the sophistication of jazz. Giggle Out Loud plays what they have dubbed, Gender Fluid Music, adding traces of Turkish music, Serbian and Macedonian folk dance music, and other AfroCuban, Brazilian and Jamaican influences.
At the time of this recording, this is the 1st and only recording of Giggle Out Loud to exist under the new band name. Hopefully, this will change!
This show was a fundraiser to re-roof the Bugghouse, a local punk house owned by Grover in Pensacola, FL that also has occasional DIY house shows. Grover and Bugghouse have been an incredibly important part of the DIY music scene in Pensacola, FL.
