Mid Evil Times is a refreshing new band from Pensacola, FL that blends funk, punk, alternative, post-punk and new wave with the noisiness of NY no wave. Their music really is art, creatively blending noisy guitar riffs and colorful, funky basslines with subject matter that is deeply introspective while being fun and witty.
My first time seeing Mid Evil Times was during The Handlebar’s grand reopening after years of being closed, and the Pensacola music scene becoming cagey after all the shutdowns and lack of shows. I loved their show so much that when I saw Mid Evil Times was playing again, I had to record them.
