Vangas is a noisy post-punk band from Atlanta, GA who's sound is reminiscent of more obscure NY nowave acts like DNA or The Contortions. There is even a sense of very early Sonic Youth from the "Confusion is Sex/Kill Yr Idols" split EP that finds itself seeping out of the erratic noise, groovy drum beats and basslines you find in Vangas' music.
This particular performance by Vangas at The Handlebar was nothing short of iconic, and is by far the most asked about set I have ever recorded.
